Driving a New Data Powered Service for a Leading Dealer Solutions Company

This project began with a large dealer solutions provider looking to introduce a new data driven service to support its dealer network. As one of the largest full dealer solutions companies in the industry, the client supports thousands of dealerships through their DMS and marketing platforms. To successfully launch this new service, data accuracy and scale were critical.

The opportunity was not simply to provide data, but to solve a real operational problem dealerships were facing every day. Dealers needed better visibility into ownership changes and more reliable ways to reach the right consumers after vehicles had been traded or sold elsewhere.

The Challenge: The client needed to combine first party dealer data with third party data sources to support a new service offering for their dealers. Existing records often reflected outdated ownership information, making it difficult for dealers to identify which vehicles were still owned by their customers and which had changed hands.

Without accurate ownership visibility, dealers were missing opportunities to engage new owners and were relying on incomplete or outdated contact information. The challenge was to solve this problem at scale while supporting thousands of dealers operating across different markets and systems.

Our Task: Xcelerated Data was engaged to support the foundation of this new service by delivering accurate ownership intelligence and contact data.

Our work focused on

• Identifying vehicles that were no longer owned by the original customer

• Determining which vehicles were traded at a different dealership

• Identifying the new owners of those vehicles

• Appending verified email addresses to support outreach

• Processing and standardizing dealer supplied files on a daily basis

The solution had to operate continuously, integrate into existing workflows, and scale across a large dealer network.

Results: The program quickly became a core service offering for the client and their dealers.

• Dealer files were sent and processed daily

• More than 20 million records were processed over the past 12 months

• Over 1200 dealerships continue to participate in the program

• Ownership changes and new owner identification became repeatable and reliable

• The client automated their internal processes to support dealer email campaigns

By solving ownership accuracy and contact visibility at scale, the client successfully launched a new service that delivered ongoing value to their dealer network.
